Education has truly been a game changer for me. It opened doors of opportunity and possibility that would have never been possible otherwise. Having had multiple brain injuries in high school and college sports, education opened pathways that allowed me to yet pursue and develop unique passions, gifts, and talents, and provided the possibility of a career (and even a life’s work) and the opportunity to contribute in meaningful and personally rewarding ways.

Education may truly be the key to helping break the poverty cycle, especially if it leads to better paying jobs, increased self esteem, and more fulfillment in life. If a good education can instill a desire to always keep learning and perfecting oneself, then society as a whole will benefit as well.
